Just finished my 7th year as a seasonal camper at Kings after switching from another campground in Barre. I immediately found the campground to be welcoming by the existing seasonal campers with lots to do for both kids n adults. There was a change in ownership last year that has only helped make the campground even better than it already was prior. The owner n manager are committed to reinvesting into the campground each year.
Great group of campers. Like a big happy family
Of the four campgrounds in the area this one has the most family friendly activities. Including DJs, bands, horse shoes, volleyball, beach, children activities and many activities coordinated by other campers. You can bring your own alcohal to events. Just like the other campgrounds they enforce quiet time after 11:00 PM. Campfires are allowed. Store on premises sells beer.
Thought this camp ground had great potential. We had a boat and looking forward to using it on the lake. Everything was going well set up camp and then the rudest old lady that says she owns the place just barks orders at you and won’t give you and your family any privacy. I’ve honestly never seen anything like it. Didn’t even stay the night we paid for. I just had enough and packed up and went home. Unreal.
Kings Campground has been a great place full of friendly people. The owner keeps taking steps to make the place better and better every year. The lake is so clean and beautiful! Cornhole tournaments are the latest in entertainment!
